The Queens Post has obtained dramatic video footage of a vehicle engulfed in flames and then exploding in Long Island City Sunday.

The footage, captured at around 8:15 p.m., shows an unoccupied vehicle on fire stopped on the westbound ramp that leads to the Queensboro Bridge in Court Square.

The vehicle was on fire for several minutes before it suddenly exploded leaving off a thunderous bang that could be heard several blocks away.

The flames from the fire shot up at least 30 feet into the air while smoke could be seen billowing high up into the night sky.

Soon after, the FDNY arrived on the scene to tackle the inferno.

About two dozen firefighters and two fire trucks were present at the scene to put out the blaze.

Fire officials said there were no injuries related to the incident.

The FDNY did not reveal the make of the vehicle and it is unclear what caused it to go on fire.

LaGuardia crowned best airport in United States by Forbes Travel Guide following $8 billion transformation

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey proudly announced on Oct. 22 that Forbes Travel Guide selected LaGuardia Airport as the best airport in the United States a decade after then-Vice President Joe Biden likened the transportation hub to one that would be found in a third-world nation in a speech lamenting the state of infrastructure in America.

Forbes released its first Verified Air Travel Awards based on a survey of 5,000 hospitality and travel experts and the guide’s most well-traveled fliers. The recognition is the latest in a long list of accolades given to LaGuardia throughout the course of the airport’s historic $8 billion transformation.
