Houses in Forest Hills and condos in Long Island City topped the list in terms of the most expensive dwellings sold in the borough in the third quarter.
Together the two neighborhoods accounted for ten of the top Queens residential sales in PropertyClub’s roundup of the biggest home sales in the third quarter of 2019.
The most expensive borough home sold in the third quarter was in Long Island City at 42-62 Hunter St. The 1,764-square-foot house sold for nearly $3 million in September.
Coming in at number two on the list is a $2.85 million single-family home in Whitestone at 16 Point Cres. which sold in August, followed by a $2.5 million two-family home in Astoria at 32-19 Broadway which sold in July.
A Forest Hills home at 74 Ascan Ave tied with the Astoria home for third, also closing for $2.5 million along with a Little Neck home located at 252-42 Brattle Ave. which closed for the same price.
Altogether five Forest Hills homes closed for a combined total of $11.2 million and five Long Island City residences closed for a combined total of nearly $12 million in the third quarter.
