A new lease signing has been announced for the addition of the high-end nail salon sundays Studios in the North Tower of the Malt Drive project in Long Island City.

This salon, which specializes in non-toxic nail care and self-care experiences, is expected to open on the ground floor of the tower in the summer of 2025. It will mark the sixth sundays Studios location in New York City.

The space for which the agreement was reached measures at 1,581 square feet. The lease agreement was reached with the real estate firm TF Cornerstone, who announced the lease with sundays Studios on Thursday, Aug. 15.

“Bringing sundays to the Long Island [City] neighborhood, thanks in part to TF Cornerstone, is an exciting milestone as our business continues to expand. The Hunters Point South waterfront is truly a vibrant neighborhood, and we are thrilled to open our doors next year to the community and new residents of Malt Drive,” said Amy Lin, Founder of sundays.

The studio gained popularity with the introduction of its signature meditative manicures, featuring guided meditations paired with their nail services. Some of its other popular services include the Deep Hydration Pedicure, Red Light Therapy Manicure and Anti Aging Rose Treatment.

“Sundays Studio is an exciting addition to the burgeoning Hunters Point South neighborhood. Malt Drive represents the next iteration of Long Island City’s future by bringing 1,386 new residences to the area. Sundays will no doubt be a popular community amenity for residents at Malt Drive and the larger Hunters Point South neighborhood,” said Steve Gonzalez, Vice President of Retail Leasing at TF Cornerstone.

Located at 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Dr., the Malt Drive project features 1.43 million square feet and will bring 1,386 rental residences to Hunter’s Point South. This project will also significantly expand the Hunter’s Point South waterfront and bring new open space to Newtown Creek for both residents and the public to enjoy. Leasing for the South Tower has already begun, with the North Tower expected to open soon. For more information and to view the listings, visit www.maltdrive.com.
