T-Mobile to Open on Vernon Boulevard, Takes Over Longstanding Dental Office Site

49-13 Vernon Blvd., former site of Hunters Point Dental Services.

Dec. 28, 2017 By Nathaly Pesantez

A T-Mobile store will be opening tomorrow in Hunters Point at the former site of a dental office.

The new store is located at 49-13 Vernon Blvd., and takes over the Hunters Point Dental Services location, which operated at the site for more than 35 years.

The Hunters Point Dental Services office announced earlier this year it would be moving one block up to a larger space at One Vernon Jackson, a residential building at the intersection of Vernon Boulevard and Jackson Avenue.

The move comes after the office merged with the Long Island-based ProHealth Dental in February.

The T-Mobile store is the latest wireless communications giant to open on Vernon Boulevard. A Verizon store opened at 47-34 Vernon Blvd. last year, which replaced a nail spa.
