Off Duty FDNY Firefighter Arrested for Drunk Driving Early Monday by Gantry Plaza State Park

Police arrested an off-duty FDNY firefighter Sunday night who was allegedly driving drunk by the Hunters Point waterfront.

Victor Munoz, 32, was stopped by police near the intersection of Center Boulevard and 50th Avenue at around 11 p.m. He tried to the flee the scene—initially by foot and then via his vehicle.

Cops were able to nab him and arrested him for driving while intoxicated as well as fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.

Munoz was awaiting his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court over the long weekend.
