Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to rob a man at knifepoint inside a Long Island City subway station last week.

The suspect allegedly approached a 46-year-old man inside the Queensboro Plaza subway station on Nov. 13 at around 2:40 p.m. and displayed a knife, according to police.

The perpetrator then demanded cash from the victim who was standing on the Manhattan-bound platform, police said.

The victim resisted and the suspect then fled the station without any property. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing white sneakers, black pants, a blue shirt, a black hooded jacket and an orange-rimmed baseball cap.

Police released video footage of the suspect taken from inside the subway station.
