A 26-year-old man was violently robbed of a pricey watch by two masked bandits of inside a Long Island City parking garage last week.

The man was approached by the men and struck in the back of the head with an unknown object last Thursday at 10:15 p.m. in a parking garage near 48th Avenue and 5th Street, police said.

They demanded his $125,000 watch, grabbed it and sped off in a vehicle and the victim received medical attention at the scene, according to the police.

The 26-year-old, who gave only his first name David, told New York 4 that he believed he was targeted and followed for his expensive Audemars Piguet watch.

How did they know how expensive his watch was and who wears a watch in public that costs that much? It sounds like they may have been following him for a while.

Now I like to have nice things just like you
But I’m from Brooklyn, certain ish you just don’t do
Like, high postin’ when you far from home
Or like, high postin’ when you all alone
Now, this would seem to be clear common sense
But, cats be livin’ off, sheer confidence

The tale of two cities finally collide!

Someone should write a novel about this. We are literally living in the middle of a struggling class bordering a wealthy one.

Didn’t a similar high-end jewelry heist happen in LIC last year? I smell insurance fraud.

Can’t they track the owner of the car from the license plate? The garage must have cameras. Plus they have to have some kind of connection to the victim as not everyone wears a 120K watch nor one can spot how much the watch is worth from a distance. It could have been a fake for that matter.

Only the filthy-rich like Trump could afford a watch like this

I don’t blame you for not trusting them.

Oh wait, you elected them president. Sad!
