Woman Whose Infant Was Found Dead at Days Inn on Queens Boulevard Charged With Manslaughter: NYPD

A 36-year woman has been charged with manslaughter stemming from the death of her newborn baby at a Long Island City hotel in July.

Lauren Becker, of Seaford, Long Island, was charged in relation to the death of her baby, who was found by police lying unconscious and unresponsive at the Days Inn, located at 31-36 Queens Blvd. at around 7:40 p.m. on July 18.

EMS responders took Becker and her baby to Elmhurst General Hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead on arrival later that evening, police said.
