The police are looking for a man who robbed a woman outside a deli near the Queensbridge Houses complex last week.

Police say the man robbed a 34-year-old woman in front of a deli located at 40-35 21st St. at around 11:50 a.m. on Friday. The suspect grabbed the victim’s backpack—causing her to fall to the ground—and took $2,200 in cash, a bank card and passport.

Video footage and a photo of the suspect have been released.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com

Hope the victim is OK.
This has always been a very dangerous block with people hanging out all day and night by the liquor store and check cashing place.
If the perpetrator exited the medallion cab there might be a video record and a payment record if paid by credit or debit.

Defund the police! But remember that they may not be available when you need them. But I guess that’s ok.

Thieves caught on camera stealing ATM from East Elmhurst store, one of nearly 50 heists by same crew: NYPD

Two thieves were caught on camera stealing an ATM at an East Elmhurst convenience store just before Christmas.

The NYPD says the two perpetrators belong to a three-man crew that has broken into 49 commercial establishments across Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx in the last four months of 2024. In each incident, two of the crooks haul away ATM machines before speeding away from each crime scene in stolen vehicles driven by a getaway driver.
