Urgent Appeal to Find Missing Queens Man Who Worked in Long Island City

Luis Angel Cambi Dutan was last seen inside 35-58 65th St. (NYPD and Google Maps)

May 30, 2020 By Michael Dorgan

The family of a Woodside resident missing for nearly two weeks have made an urgent appeal about his whereabouts.

Luis Angel Dutan Cambi, 30, was last seen inside his 65th Street apartment on May 19 at midday, according to his cousin, Martha Dutan.

She said it is out of character for Dutan Cambi to go missing without a trace.

“Luis has a wife and a young child in Ecuador. He is the main breadwinner and sends money home so this is not like him,” she said.

Dutan Cambi lived with his mother at 35-58 65th St. and worked at Piatto Wood Fire Pizza in Long Island City. He has not turned up for work or been in contact with family members since his disappearance.

The family does not believe he has returned to Ecuador because his mother has his passport.

“We have searched high and low. We have been to hospitals and morgues but there has been no sign of him,” his cousin said.

Dutan Cambi is a Hispanic man and is described as being 5 feet and 7 inches tall.

He weighs around 190 pounds and was last seen wearing gray pants and red sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Steven Abrahamsen at 718-784-5441 or NYPD Queens North at 718-520-9200
