Tenants are now moving in to 44 story building, latest Queens Plaza development

Feb. 2, 2017 By Hannah Wulkan

The first tenants have begun moving in to Long Island City’s newest rental tower, the latest building to open in the mushrooming Queens Plaza district.

The new 44-story building, called 1 QPS Tower, is located at 23-10 Queens Plaza South, and many of its 391 units are now renting.

The 44-story building is made up primarily of studio and one-bedroom apartments, and similar to the other nearby luxury building, offers a variety of amenities to tenants, including a fitness center, outdoor pool and roof deck, indoor library and lounge, and more. It also has 195 indoor parking spaces, though the building is located just one block from the Queensboro Plaza subway station.

Prices for studios begin at $2,040, one bedrooms at $2,828 and two bedrooms at $3,942 with two free months of rent on a 14-month lease. The starting prices rank slightly below average prices for the area, based on a recent report released by real estate firm Modern Spaces.
