Racial Claim Filed Against The Foundry’s Management Company

The Foundry

Nov. 14, 2012 Staff Report

A doorman claims that he was fired from his job at The Foundry after making a complaint that a building superintendent yelled racial epithets and sexually harassed him, the Daily News reports.

Jerry Laraque says he was sacked after notifying board members and the property manager about the strange attacks by super John Olivieri, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in Brooklyn Federal Court.

Olivieri is accused of calling Laraque a “n—–,” “monkey,” and a “black piece of s—,” while ridiculing the plaintiff’s Haitian accent and his “big Chicago lips.”

Laraque claimed Olivieri also pinned Laraque against a wall with a broomstick against his neck, suggested he perform oral sex and twice tried to stick his tongue in Laraque’s mouth, the complaint states.
