Long Island City: A body was discovered in the East River Monday night near 4-01 44th Drive, according to police.

The police arrived on the scene at 11:45 pm last night and pulled out a fully clothed 30-year-old man from the water.

There were no visible signs of trauma observed, the police said.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
