An on-duty Parks Department worker was arrested in Long Island City Tuesday morning for punching a fellow staff member in the face and stabbing the victim with an object, according to police.

Darryl Brown, 46, got into an argument with a male colleague at around 7:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 43rd Road and 9th Street and the dispute escalated.

Brown allegedly punched the victim in the face and then used an unknown object to stab him multiple times. The stab wounds were not serious, according to police, although they did puncture the victim’s skin.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Brown with a knife in his possession, although it is unclear whether it was used in the attack.

Brown has been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
