A new upscale bar and restaurant will open on Jackson Avenue tonight, replacing a beer hall that closed last year.

The new establishment, called Jungly, will open at 12-23 Jackson Ave. at 6 p.m. and will offer craft cocktails, live music and American fusion-style food.

The owners are taking over the space that had been occupied by Bierocracy, a Czech-styled beer hall that shuttered 11 months ago after a near six-year run.

Jungly is owned by business partners Rohan Aggarwal and Suraj Patel. The pair also co-own Queens Bully, a gastropub located at 113-30 Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills, which was established in 2017.

The word Jungly is a play on New York City being known as the “concrete jungle,” according to the company website.

“New York City is a global city, home to a variety of different cultures, faces, and flavors,” the website reads.

“Our love for the concrete jungle has been translated into a refuge for the wild ones, through Jungly. We bring the best of the city in one spot.”

The expansive Jackson Avenue premises has been renovated with new seating and tables installed. The exterior has stayed essentially the same with the company’s logo replacing the old Bierocracy signage on the entrance awning.

The 3,800-square-foot establishment seats around 240 people, according to minutes from a Community Board 2 meeting in March when the owners applied for a liquor license. The board unanimously approved the application.

There will be around a dozen seats at the bar too while the premises will have more than 44 tables in total. There will be no outdoor seating. LIC Talk was first to report on the opening.

Jungly will feature live music, dancing and pop events. Live DJs will perform on special occasions.

Opening hours will be Mondays through Sundays until midnight, according to the board minutes.

This place looks upscale wannabe. I feel like I can guess the cocktail menu already. I’ll give it a try, but the floorplan alone leaves a lot to be desired.
