A man who was riding his motorcycle on the Queensboro Bridge yesterday was killed after a crash involving a box truck, according to police.
Kevin Santiago, 26, was riding his motorcycle into Manhattan on the lower level of the bridge when he apparently lost his balance and struck a box truck heading the same direction at around 5:30 p.m., police say.
An NYPD spokesperson said Santiago was observed losing his balance and he rode between two vehicles, and was subsequently swept under a box truck.
Santiago was taken to Cornell Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

“Lost his balance”? That is the type of ignorant thing a car driver with no clue about motorcycles would say. And of course the cops are all to happy to look the other way and sweep it under the rug rather than finding out who is really responsible.
The day will come when you all lose a loved one or a loved loses you. Don’t get upset when some anonymous douche judges and presents themselves as superior to someone who is long dead. You people are a sad bunch.
May he rest in peace and I hope his family and friends get through this tragedy.
How many times will a foolish motorcyclist ride between two cars and lose their life?
So idiotic, just follow the rules of the road, how hard is it to do that?
You do know it’s legal in European and Asian countries right and technically in California. Why do you have the need to insult the deceased.
Do some research before making idiotic comments. Google Berkeley study on lane splitting.
This must be someone that cant ride for always dream to ride , but don’t know anything about bikelife
can’t be the same accident that I witnessed ? because multiple people and few officers try to keep him alive then 9mins later he died… firemen and ambulance came after he passed away. they wasn’t even rushing. broke my heart. r.i.p his soul
Sounds like you could have done more to help
I blame DumBlasio
Riding BETWEEN two trucks?!? Terrible mistake that cost him his young life. Very sad.
Seriously…I read that and concluded this was a Darwin Award nominee.
I guess the Darwin award goes to the both of you. The article states he rode between “two vehicles” not two trucks. Can’t even read a simple article.
Look at all these people giving Walter a thumbs down. I can’t believe how many idiots are out there. I should know better by now.
Isn’t a truck a vehicle? Dummy.
Good grief. Michelle, just stop. They assumed 2 trucks and that’s factually wrong. Idiots…..
