Cops searching for man who robbed Chase Bank

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Long Island City yesterday.

According to the report, an unknown man entered the Chase Bank at 25-15 Queens Plaza North at 11:04 yesterday, and passed the teller a note demanding money.

The teller gave him about $1,000 and the suspect fled the premises.

The suspect is described as about a 45-year-old black man with a beard standing 5’8 and weighing about 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a striped hat, blue sweater and black sneakers.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, and anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
