Leasing launches for 28-story residential tower in LIC

American Lions, a joint venture between Fetner Properties and Lions Group, announced the opening of The Bold, a new 28-story residential tower at 27-01 Jackson Ave. in Long Island City, on Wednesday, July 24.

The Bold will bring 164 new residences to the Court Square neighborhood, including 50 new affordable homes. Units range in size from studio to three-bedroom. Each residence has flexible floor plans, sweeping windows and great visibility.

“Long Island City is an incredibly vibrant community, and the entire development team has deeply enjoyed working in the neighborhood to bring The Bold to life,” Fetner Properties CEO Hal Fetner said. “The need for thoughtfully designed homes attuned with what New Yorkers need continues to be extremely high, and delivering these residences for both our market and affordable homes addresses this urgent demand.”

Among the amenities available for residents at The Bold is a golf simulator room with ample seating meant to give the feel of a clubhouse, a gym that features a rock-climbing wall and top-of-the-line equipment, and a modern lounge with multiple televisions. There is also a media room that features couches and a large television. A party room will also be available for private reservations, offering a space for dining and lounging and featuring a kitchen/bar area and curated art and books.

“Lions Group has been building in Long Island City for over 20 years and The Bold represents the next stage of growth for both our company and for the community,” Lions Group President Albert Shirian said. “Residents have an evolving set of needs; families are growing and life has changed. The Bold is located within close proximity to multiple cultural institutions, including the Noguchi Museum, the Museum of Modern Art PS1 and Socrates Sculpture Park. It is also easily accessible to many nearby parks, including Gantry Plaza State Park, Hunter’s Point South Park, Murray Playground, McKenna Triangle, Court Square Park and Rafferty Triangle.

The Bold offers direct access to the Court Square subway station, which services the 7, E, M and G trains. There is also direct access to the Queensboro Plaza subway station, which services the 7, N and W trains, as well as the Ferry at Gantry Plaza and Hunter’s Point South. The B62, Q39 and Q67 buses also have nearby stops.

SLCE Architects designed The Bold, while Tamara Eaton Design did the interior design. Modern Spaces is the exclusive leasing and marketing firm for this development.
