Jennifer Lopez will be taking the stage on the Long Island City waterfront Friday night.

Her performance will take place at Hunters Point South Park and is part of the Macy’s July 4th celebration, a well-placed source told the LIC Post. She is expected to arrive at the park around 5pm with taping planned to take place in the early evening.

The stage will be located adjacent to LIC Landing,

Macy’s is pre-taping Lopez’s performance for its July 4th show.

The Macy’s event is going to be star-studded. Sheryl Crow and Charlie Puth are also set to perform as part of the fireworks spectacular.

4th of July is crowded and awful… Any Residence that live near waterfront have go through checkpoints, provide proof of residency.

For 1 day. There is no line so really all you do is walk by a few cops. No big deal. I enjoy crowds and big events which is part of the reason I like living in NYC. Why would someone who has an incredible view from their apartment of one of the best fireworks shows in the world want to leave for that day? I feel very lucky to be in fireworks central. Going to see the fireworks has always been difficult in the past. Fighting crowds to get a view. Being hot or getting rained on. Now I sit on my balcony. The “big” mess is cleaned up quickly. No big deal.

Jenny from the block if I remember right filmed a commercial with a background that looked like the Bronx a few years ago. Unfortunately, it was not filmed in the Bronx at all, nor was it filmed in NY at all. Jenny from the block indeed.

Queens gun buyback takes 74 firearms off streets, including ghost guns and assault weapons: DA

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Monday that 74 firearms were taken off the streets at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Jamaica during a gun buyback event on Saturday, June 14. The weapons were exchanged for bank cards pre-loaded with cash, with no identification required and no questions asked.

“Gun buybacks serve as a critical tool for reducing gun violence and promoting public safety within our communities,” Katz said. “This Saturday, working with the NYPD and clergy leaders in Jamaica, we received 74 surrendered guns — including five automatic weapons. As a result, these firearms will not be used to cause heartache and tragedy.”
