Domaine Wine Bar is up for sale

Wine Bar

Jan. 9, 2014 By Christian Murray

Domaine Bar A Vins, the well-known wine bar located at 50-04 Vernon Blvd, is for sale.

The wine bar, which is described as 1,200 sqf with a beer & wine license, is listed for sale on craigslist (see listing to verify price) for $5,200.

The bar is owned by Pascal Ecriout (the proprietor of the popular French bistro Tournesol) and Robert Gonçalves. In a 2009 interview with WABC News, Ecriout said that he opened the wine bar—in part—due to Tournesol’s small size.

Tournesol is not listed for sale.

The wine bar currently offers a list of 40 wines by the glass from all over the world.

Ecriout could not be reached for comment.

Dear ONETIME CUSTOMER:

They have jazz nights and the wine, cheeses and oyster specials are wonderful. Perhaps you simply had the wrong attitude. There is no McDonalds in LIC, thank goodness.

I went to this place once and the bartender was very bitchy. It’s just a small place with some benches and wine bottles- definitely nothing to write home about. $5200?! Seems like highway robbery for this place…lol

Borough President recommends approval of OneLIC Neighborhood Plan with conditions

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards announced on Monday a long list of recommendations to approve the city’s OneLIC Neighborhood Plan with conditions.

The sweeping proposal entered the city’s Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) in April, following certification by the City Planning Commission, and aims to transform a large portion of Long Island City with new zoning rules that would create nearly 14,700 housing units—including 4,300 affordable homes—alongside 14,400 jobs, over 3.5 million square feet of commercial and industrial space and expanded access to the East River waterfront.
