A COVID-19 vaccination site will open at Citi Field on Wednesday with half the appointments designated for Queens residents.

The long-awaited city-run “megasite” will be open 24/7 and have the capacity to vaccinate 5,000 to 7,000 New Yorkers each day.

Half of the appointments for the ballfield site will be open to eligible Queens residents and the other half will be open to TLC licensees and food delivery workers, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday.

Those eligible can begin making appointments online or by calling 877-VAX-4NYC today.

The Citi Field vaccine site was supposed to open the week of Jan. 25, but was delayed due to the city’s shortage of vaccines. De Blasio said that it would open in “a matter of days” on Friday, when a similar vaccine site opened at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

“Citi Field — this is one that we’ve been hoping for a long time to get up and running…,” de Blasio said. “This is going to be great for the people of Queens”
