The body of a Long Island City woman who had been missing since New Year’s Day was found in the waters near Lower Manhattan Tuesday.

Yecely Sanchez, 43, was discovered on the shoreline of Governors Island, according to police, where she was pronounced deceased by EMS.

Sanchez, a mother of four, was reported to have gone missing on Jan. 1 at around 9:30 p.m. and was last seen leaving her apartment on 12th Street at the NYCHA Queensbridge Houses complex.

A small backpack that belonged to her had been found on the pedestrian walkway of the Queensboro Bridge after she went missing, PIX11 News reported.

“She had injuries consistent with a fall from a height,” the outlet reported, citing a police spokesperson.

Sanchez, PIX11 reported, had been struggling with personal issues.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
