Unfortunately it is usually the current that brings the bodies. Sadly the bridges along the river are used as suicide jumping points.
Hopefully, never again. The piers are part of the State park section. Perhaps a high tide and currents brought the body nto the pier. Perhaps, a preventable suicide or foul play at the park no park goer noticed. Tides could have brought in the body, but …. More patrols?
Since when is a body in the East River news?
