Astoria, Queens: A popular local burger joint started a new promotion last week that’s sure to be a smash hit with hungry moviegoers.
5 Napkin Burger (35-01 36th St.), known throughout the city for its 10 ounce burgers and vast selection of beers, launched a “Dinner & A Movie” deal last week offering its customers dinner and a movie ticket at the UA Kaufman Astoria movie theater (35-30 38th St.) for just $22.
The restaurant, which is located a few steps away from the theater, is offering diners a special menu that includes entrees typically priced from $11.95 to $14.90—which is accompanied by a ticket to a movie of their choice, normally priced at $14.50.
“Since we have launched, we’ve had extremely high demand,” said 5 Napkin Burger spokeswoman Michelle Gralitzer. “It’s been great for the restaurant, the movie theater and the community.”
Of the four ‘5 Napkin Burger’ locations in NYC, the Astoria restaurant is the only one with the movie deal.
Diners have five choices on the special menu: cheeseburger, barbeque burger, veggie burger, chicken tacos or a burger salad.
“It’s perfect for a date night,” Gralitzer said. “It’s the quintessential summer dinner and a movie.”
Additionally, 5 Napkin is offering $8.50 tickets for patrons who stop in for a beer or cocktail.
