Many Long Island City residents have been hearing unfounded rumors that the two schools under construction will not be opening in September as planned.

Those rumors are untrue said City Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer whose office confirmed both IS/HS 404 and PS/IS 312 are on track to open in September.

“We received e-mails about that…and we checked with the School Construction Authority.  They told us that both schools will be open on schedule (September 2013) and that no one should be concerned. They were unequivocal about it.”IS 404
