Police are searching for a man who stole $20,000 worth of equipment and furniture from a building site in the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City last week.
Police said the suspect allegedly broke into a hotel construction site, located at 38-26 11 St., on July 11 between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Once inside the burglar grabbed power tools and furniture worth around $20,000, police said.
Some of the items stolen included, power drills, a circular saw, a framing gun, an emergency light, a mini-refrigerator and rolling chairs, police said.
The suspect fled the scene on foot using a hand truck – which he also stole from the site – to transport the stolen goods, police said.
The NYPD released video of the suspect taken during the alleged incident.
