Thief Steals Beats Headphones, Wallet From Employee at Long Island City Petland Discounts: NYPD

Police are searching for a thief who stole a wallet and a pair of pricey headphones from an employee at the Plaza 48 Petland Discounts store earlier this month.

The culprit went into the employee bathroom at the store, located at 34-60 48th St., at around 5:20 p.m. on Feb. 6, where he stole items inside belonging to a 21-year-old female employee.

The stolen items include a pair of Beats headphones and a wallet with credit cards, police said.

The suspect is described as black, with a slim build, dark complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing a tax coat, a white collar shirt with a tie, black pants and black shoes.

That doesn’t make sense. That’s a unauthorized room for employees only where they leave their belongings to work.

I hope they catch this guy. The person he stole from is a sweet, hard working young lady who certainly didn’t deserve this.

Twenty individuals were indicted and variously charged in a wide-ranging scheme to steal cars in Queens, throughout New York City and its suburbs, following a three-year investigation by the Queens District Attorney’s Office, the NYPD, and the New York State Police dubbed “Operation Hellcat,” into the criminal enterprise based in Queens.

Some of the vehicles were stolen from owners’ driveways, some with the keys or key fobs inside. The stolen vehicles were often sold through advertisements on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The defendants are charged in nine separate indictments for a total of 373 counts, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced on Thursday.
