Police are searching for two men that attempted to kidnap a 28-year-old man from a Hyundai dealership in Long Island City earlier this month.
The two suspects entered the 34-54 44th St. dealership at around 9:45 a.m. on Dec. 12, where the victim was waiting for his vehicle to be serviced, police said.
The duo then sprayed the 28-year-old with an unidentified substance, told him he was under arrest for being a fugitive and tried to take him out of the dealership in handcuffs.
But the victim struggled and fought off the attempted kidnappers, who then fled from the scene in a 2012 gray Dodge Caravan and headed west on Northern Boulevard.
One of the two men has been identified as 40-year-old Jose Santiago-Cruz. He is described as Hispanic, with a height of 5 feet 6 inches, weighing 200 pounds, and with dark colored hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Crime is down say the Mayor and NYPD Commissioner. What BS.
One crime does not equal a crimewave
