Development continues in Long Island City, as plans have recently been filed for a four-story building on Vernon Boulevard.
The plans, filed with the Department of Buildings on Dec. 5, call for 15-unit development at 47-01 Vernon Blvd., the current site of a one-story brick building.
The new building would span roughly 15,000 square feet, and includes space for two retail shops at the ground floor.
A small recreation space is also planned for the building’s second floor. One of the top floor apartments, meanwhile, will have access to a rooftop terrace.
The new building plans follow demolition filings put through for the current building back in October. The nondescript building, in a lot that includes parking space, had been occupied by Charge and Ride, a limo and car service company, for several decades.

The new property’s developer is listed as Circle F Capital, a large firm based in Manhattan and behind several developments in the area, including the 11-story condo by the Court Square Diner and another condo project at 5-33 48th Ave.
The developer purchased the property last month for just over $6 million, records show.
Circle F Capital did not immediately respond to questions about the development’s timeline.
