Two festivals will be kicking off in Long Island City this upcoming weekend—one with a focus on beer and the other on desserts.
The Queens Beer Festival
, along with Dessert Goals, will be returning to the neighborhood this year on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, where attendees can savor unlimited beer from Queens breweries and purchase sweets from dozens of dessert vendors in New York City.
The beer festival, now in its third year, will take place at the usual LIC Flea & Food, where attendees can savor around 50 beers from roughly 25 local draft breweries. Dessert Goals, meanwhile, is returning to Long Island City for the second time for two weekends after their first event in the neighborhood earlier this year.
The Queens Beer Festival includes ever brewery from Queens, with a number of breweries from Brooklyn, the Bronx, Long Island, and Staten Island included.
General admission tickets for the beer fest are available for $39 for two-hour beer tastings, and include a souvenir mug. Other ticket options are available, including the $19 “designated driver” option, that allows access to the beer fest section, but no beer.
The event, which saw more than 2,000 attendees last year, includes live music and food. LIC Flea & Food vendors will also be selling handcrafted and vintage items.

Dessert Goals, taking place at Sound River Studios, features vendors with items like cakes, chocolates, cookies, tarts, ice cream, donuts, and more available for purchase. One free dessert is included, along with complimentary beverages from several companies.
Similar to prior Dessert Goals events, an “Instagram Garden” with photo-friendly backdrops and props will be set up.
The organizers say the event’s theme this time is joy. “Think: puppies, rainbows, sunshine, and desserts.”
Dessert Goals general admissions tickets start at $17 for an hour and a half, with other options including an “extra sugar rush” with additional sugary treats and early bird tickets.
The Queens Beer Festival organizers, additionally, is offering a general beer fest and dessert goals ticket option for $46.
The Queens Beer Festival will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at LIC Flea & Food, located at 5-25 46th Ave., on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14. Dessert Goals will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Sound River Studios, located at 4-40 44th Dr., on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, and again on Oct. 20 and Oct. 21.
