NYC Ferry at Hunters Point South Landing (via NYC Ferry)

Service at the Hunters Point South Landing is suspended indefinitely as the city works to make repairs to the site.
NYC Ferry issued an alert on Twitter at 12:30 p.m. yesterday noting that the stop has closed, with service redirected to the Long Island City landing farther up north.
A spokesperson for the city’s Economic Development Corporation, which oversees the ferry service, told the LIC Post this morning that repairs are needed to the gangway, as determined after a recent inspection.
“We are working closely to expedite these repairs and should have an update on our timeline by early next week,” the EDC said.
Ferries on the East River route will bypass the stop in both directions, and riders can either walk to the LIC ferry landing or take a free shuttle bus operating every 20 minutes near the stops.
The Hunters Point South Landing is the latest in the NYC Ferry system to close suddenly for repairs, with the Greenpoint and South Williamsburg ferry landings temporarily going out of service in May, with the Greenpoint Landing shutting down again some time last month.

Still haven’t seen anyone out there actually working on it
I hope it will indeed reopen. This makes my trip much more difficult at 76 years old.
If one heads to the north end of the park (under the Pepsi sign) the new ferry landing has trips to midtown, Wall Street, and, per this paper, two new Manhattan stops come late August. It also has a line going up, to Astoria. It is a far better ferry landing, more grown up, sheltered and not noisy.
A least there are NO SIGNAL PROBLEMS lol.
