Queens Beer Festival Taking Place This Saturday at LIC Landing

via Queens Beer Fest

July 25, 2018 By Nathaly Pesantez

A beer-focused festival will be taking place in Long Island City this weekend for the second year in a row.

“Cheers To QNS!”, the name of the event, features breweries exclusively from Queens serving up unlimited beers in a day filled with music, pop up food stalls, and more at LIC Landing.

Breweries on the list of 12 include Big Alice, LIC Beer Project, Fifth Hammer, Rockaway, and Transmitter Brewing. The breweries will be set up in individual tents at the landing, with food stalls located nearby.

Early bird tickets, which grant attendees earlier access to the festival for $32.00, have already sold out, with standard admissions tickets still left for $37 on Eventbrite.

The event, organized by the NYC Brewers Guild, will deliver all its proceeds to the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy.

The LIC Landing fest was supposed to be part of Queens Beer Week festivities in May, with a kick off planned at the site. Bad weather, however, forced the waterfront event to be canceled.

“Cheers To QNS!” will take place on July 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at LIC Landing, located at 52-10 Center Blvd.

Another gift to Coffeed, the misnamed party-alcohol nightclub known for it’s alcoholic addiction inducements, pitchers of Sangria, anyone?, across from playgrounds, play field, sand play area for the under five set, and a nearby high school.
What a brilliant idea…Drunk on beer, with one overwhelmed bathroom close by . Coffeed at LIC Landing is a NY City Parks Department concession. Please, please notice their loud music and large enclosed outdoor night club is not a sound use of Parks land. Call or write your concerns to Parks, please.

There is one thing I know about Hipsters and that is they are not United. The FAKE MRLIC is the one who keeps talking about them for the most part. Once in a while I will.

Can Queens’ food scene thrive with both trucks and restaurants?

Aug. 19, 2025 By Jessica Militello

In Jackson Heights at 4 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon, Roosevelt Avenue is buzzing with energy as commuters file in and out of subway cars and onto the street and cars and trucks grapple to get down the busy road. The street is filled with rows of shops and restaurants, along with food carts, street vendors and food trucks along the avenue. The almost-but-not-quite the weekend lag leaves hungry commuters faced with another choice to make throughout their day and the array of food truck options in busy areas like Jackson Heights offers customers convenience and delicious food without breaking the bank, two features that can feel vital, particularly with rising costs of living and pressure from inflation.
