Live LIC Production Where Guests Collaborate with Actors in Apocalyptic Setting Extends Programming into the Fall

Aug. 20, 2017 Staff Report

“Do you have what it takes to survive the apocalypse?”

This is what U.S. Army veteran and First Person Xperience founder Daniel Gomez asked over 800 participants this summer as they signed up for his 75 minute immersive production, “RED.”

The live-action entertainment company (“First Person Xperience“) headquartered at 53-28 11th St. announced this month that it is extending its programming of RED until November 5th.

Daniel said the decision comes after overwhelming demand spilled over from the success of their first 10 weeks of programming that began in May.

RED is a 75-minute psychological thriller that allows guests to experience real-world physiological and psychological responses to crisis situations that our studio presents to them,” explained Gomez. “All while being immersed in an expansive apocalyptic set filled with chaos, intrigue and a story line that participants shape themselves with the decisions they make.”

First Person Xperience is a joint venture between husband and wife duo Daniel Gomez and Dr. Johanna Gomez.

Johanna said that past guests appreciated the exciting new take on immersive and interactive theater.

“Guests get to test themselves as they engage with real actors and special effects in a fully interactive environment, all while working together to complete an objective,” she said.

One review on the company’s Yelp page reads, “My girlfriend and I went to RED two weeks ago and had a blast…If you have any interest in immersive story lines, exploration, or choose your own adventure books, then you’ll love [it].”

The production allows for 16 guests per show, with tickets ranging from $65 to $99 for the full 75-minute experience. Reservations are available every Friday to Sunday until November 5th and must be made through the website www.firstpersonxperience.com/red or by calling the box office at 866-811-4111.

The way DUMBlasio has let these developers make so many luxury condos, LIC is already an “expansive apocalyptic set,” I don’t need to spend $99 to experience another one.
