Starbucks location opens one block from Citigroup Building, first in Long Island City

Starbucks at 26-14 Jackson Ave.

Aug. 12, 2017 by Nathaly Pesantez

A Starbucks has opened one block away from the Citigroup Building, and is the first free-standing one for Long Island City.

The brick-and-mortar coffeehouse, located at 26-14 Jackson Avenue, opened Aug. 11, according to an employee at the store.

While the store lists hours of operation at the door, the store will actually be open from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. daily, the employee said.

The Starbucks is in the same building as Chipotle.

Please stay out of the Vernon/HPS area Starsux! You burn your coffee and kill the mom and pops who actually take care of their brews, and their customers.

Long live Sweetleaf, Communitea, and even Canelle (but more so for the pastries)

guessing all the dislikes are from the transient entitled renters who expect the suburban creature comforts to exist in the urban neighborhoods they are using to ease into suburban oblivion.

Yes! Finally! Been waiting 4 years for a bucks to open in the hood. Agree they should open one closer to Vernon/hunters point, but making strides

It would be great if Starbucks opened another location near Hunter’s Point South. It’s such a long walk to the Court Sq. location.

You’d rather drink over roasted piss coffee and support a greedy corporation than local businesses?

Large open space, will have a patio at the back eventually it looks like. Its nice and quiet so far, which is a departure from other Starbucks in the city.
