April 17, 2017 By Hannah Wulkan

The LIC Partnership, the local Business Improvement District, will host its fourth annual LIC Springs street festival on May 6 on Vernon Boulevard between 50th and 46th Avenues.

The festival, which will run from noon to 5 p.m., will be free and open to the public and will feature live music and performances, art and fitness classes, outdoor dining, various activities, and more. Last year, more than 15,000 people attended.

The event will feature food and drink from many local restaurants, including Woodbines, Madera Cuban Grill, Manducatis Rustica, and more.

It will have activities for kids ranging from gymnastics lessons to face painting to story time. There will also be performances ranging from Irish step dancing to ceramic wheel throwing demonstrations to ballet performances from students at PS 166, and more.

Businesses are invited to register to participate, and the LIC Partnership is still looking for volunteers to help run the event.
