A new walk-in urgent care center is now open in Hunters Point.

UMD Urgent Medical Care, which operates walk-in clinics throughout New York City, held its grand opening Friday at 5-35 50th Ave., according to manager Audrey Ko.

Urgent care centers provide immediate medical care, generally for patients who are unable to see a primary care physician quickly. UMD offers services including treating wounds, fractures, colds and allergies and providing X-rays, flu shots and STD testing.

The urgent care center was originally slated to open in February. Ko did not respond to questions regarding the delay as of press time.
