Long Island City’s annual Trick or Treat March will bring costumed neighbors up Vernon Boulevard on Halloween.
The event starts at 2p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, outside the 108th Precinct, which is located at 5-47 50th Ave. Participants will turn onto Vernon Boulevard and march to 46th Avenue.
Line-up begins at 1:30 p.m.
Last year, about 700 people attended the Trick or Treat March, according to co-organizer Sheila Lewandowski.
“It’s grown quite a bit, in the same way as the neighborhood,” she said, noting that when Gianna Cerbone-Teoli of Manducatis Rustica launched the event about a decade ago, it included “a few dozen costumed families.”
Many local businesses plan to offer games, activities and food and drink specials during the march, from Modern Spaces and Douglas Elliman along the parade route, to LIC Landing, Z Hotel and Creek And Cave.
“Come in costume and come meet everyone else’s alter egos, and help us celebrate this growing, wonderful neighborhood,” Lewandowski said.
