The developers behind the Hunter’s Point South affordable housing development will throw a free street festival on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

The event will take place at Center Boulevard and 50th Avenue, beside the two buildings that comprise Hunter’s Point South Living. It is presented by Related Companies, Phipps Houses and Monadnock Development, which are behind the more than 900-unit development.

Move-ins at Hunters Point South began in May and are ongoing, according to a spokesperson for Related Companies.

Participating restaurants and vendors on Saturday will include Manducatis Rustica, Casa Enrique, Mamu Thai Noodle and 51st Bakery and Café.

All food will be free for the first two hours of the event.

Activities will include giant Jenga and Connect Four games, face painting and a photo booth. GrowNYC, which runs the Urban Farm on top of Hunter’s Point South’s larger building, will offer activities for kids, including making agua fresca juices using blenders powered by bikes.

Anyone who visits the photo booth and posts their picture to social media with the hashtag #HPSLiving will be entered to win prizes during the event.

A rain date for the street festival is scheduled for Sunday.
