Construction of another large Queens Plaza apartment building is in the works.
Crescent & 27, the company listed as the owner of 42-22 27th Street, has filed permits to construct a 15-story, 99 dwelling unit building across the street from Heatherwood’s 27th on 27th development.
The corner lot is just one block from Queens Plaza South.
A 2-story brick building currently occupies the site.

Why would anyone want to save the facade of this particular building? It’s scary looking and depressing.
Because with creativity, it would be much better than the cheap glass crap going up.
Condo or rental? 99 units is not that big for the area and that is about the average for a large condo.
I understand that a two story building is no longer economically feasible, but can developers start using just a little creativity and incorporate the facades of the old buildings into the design?!
