Rockrose has begun leasing its market-rate apartments in its much-anticipated 50 story luxury building.
The building, called Hayden and located in Court Square, is comprised of 974 apartments that come with floor-to-ceiling windows and luxury amenities such as a duplex fitness center, full-size basketball court, media room, playroom, yoga studio, dog grooming station, coffee bar and rooftop lawn.
The company is leasing studios starting from $2,465 per month, with one-bedrooms beginning at $3,125 and two bedrooms at $4,410. The studios are about 475 square feet; one bedrooms about 680 square feet; and two bedrooms approach 1,000 square feet.
There are 195-units that are deemed ‘affordable,’ with rents for studios starting at $913. Applications for those apartments closed at the end of November.
Including the affordable units, the building will be comprised of 348 studios, 459 one-bedrooms, and 167 two-bedroom apartments. The building will also have 970,000 square feet of ground floor retail.
Rockrose is offering incentives for those who rent the market rate apartments. The company is offering one-month free rent and premium cable for a year.
The building, located at 43-25 Hunter Street, is close to Rockrose’s 709 unit tower Linc LIC, which was completed in 2013 and took about a year to be fully leased.
Rockrose is making a big dent in the Court Square area.
Hayden is its second major development there after Linc LIC.
Rockrose has made significant progress on its third Court Square development, a 54-story residential tower located at 43-22 Queens Street. That tower, comprised of about 780 units, is likely to open at the end of the year.

Gorgeous building but I wonder if the quality of the apartments will be any better than Linc across the street..
I hope that Rockrose trains their staff better at this building than they have in 4705 Center. The doormen and the woman who runs the leasing office are atrocious. Not a good first impression for tenants and guests.
