Man Found Dead at Long Island City Waterfront This Morning: NYPD

A man was found dead by the Long Island City shoreline this morning, according to the NYPD.

Police say they responded to a 911 call today at around 10:28 a.m. of an unconscious man by 44th Drive and Vernon Boulevard. The man, unidentified, was unconscious and unresponsive at the shoreline of the East River, police say.

EMS then arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead, according to police.

The medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death, police say. The NYPD has not released the deceased man’s identity, as his family has not been notified.

I am very interested in knowing exactly what happened to this guy. I am in that exact spot very often and would love to know if this was criminal.

Idk about this incident but if your curious about crimes in the area the NYCPD published an online map that shows where, when, and what happened throughout the city. It’s interesting to see all the things that happen on seemingly quiet streets.
