Large Van Flips Over in Court Square, One Person Sent to Hospital

A large van flipped over in Court Square this morning, resulting in one person being transported to the hospital.

A black Mercedes-Benz van collided with another vehicle and flipped on its side at around 10:28 a.m. on Jackson Avenue and 21st Street, according to the FDNY.

 

One victim was then transported to Elmhurst Hospital, according to the FDNY. The FDNY did not reveal if the victim was the driver of the black van.

Video taken from the scene via the Citizen app shows the van flipped over onto the driver’s side on 46th Road, with its front window completely torn off.

The car was then flipped back upright just after 11 a.m., as seen on video.

No other victims have been reported.
