Man lifts laptops from construction company’s offices, police release video

A man broke into a construction company’s offices earlier this month and stole laptops, according to police.

The suspect pried open a roll down gate at the Forte Construction office, located at 24-09 41st Ave, and removed two HP laptops from a second floor office, before fleeing the scene, the NYPD said.

The incident took place August 3rd at approximately 10 pm.

The suspect is seen snatching one of the laptops on surveillance footage released by the NYPD.

The suspect is described as a black, male who was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

Police are asking for anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.

Two days before the MTA Board approved the controversial congestion pricing plan for Manhattan on Wednesday, the agency cracked down on persistent toll violators at the Queens Midtown Tunnel in Long Island City.

MTA Bridges and Tunnels seized 19 vehicles registered to persistent scofflaws on Monday and issued 81 summonses and confiscated two fraudulent incense plates. The MTA noted that the scofflaws accounted for approximately $483,000 in combined unpaid tolls and fees. One of the top persistent toll violators from the targeted enforcement owed nearly $76,000 in tolls and fees.
